Newer homes, newer tanks, same problem

New Gurugram, roughly Sectors 76 to 95, is mostly recent housing: high-rise societies, some affordable housing towers, and plotted areas with independent floors. It is easy to assume a new building means a clean tank, but that is often not true.

A tank that has not been cleaned since the building was handed over may still hold cement dust, sand or bits of debris from construction. And in many parts of New Gurugram, building work is still going on nearby, so fine dust keeps finding its way in through lids and vents.

Why tanks here fill with silt

Where homes rely partly on tankers or a borewell while piped supply catches up, silt and sediment tend to build up faster than on treated supply alone. The underground sump takes most of it, then passes the finer part up to the rooftop or overhead tanks. Add strong summer sun on the roofs and you get algae on top of the sludge. Every 6 months is the usual rule, and if you see sand in buckets or filters clogging early, a sooner clean makes sense.

What newer homes should know

  • Clean once after moving in. It clears out construction dust and gives you a clean starting point.
  • Don't skip the sump. If water comes by tanker, the sump holds the most sediment. See underground sump cleaning.
  • Independent floors: each floor's rooftop tank can be cleaned in the same visit as the shared sump. See overhead tank cleaning.
  • Societies and RWAs: bulk rates for 5 or more tanks and tower-by-tower scheduling. See society tank cleaning.
  • Plastic tanks need care. Nobody stands inside, so a thin tank floor is never put under load.

How we clean and how you book

We never send anyone into the tank. A sludge pump pulls out silt and debris, a high-pressure jet washes walls, floor and lid, then a food-safe disinfectant, a clean-water flush and drying. Each tank takes about 60 to 90 minutes, and you get before and after photos on WhatsApp.

To book, send your tank type, size and count from the quote form or as a WhatsApp photo. We reply with a free fixed quote, including GST, before the visit. Pick a slot, and pay after the job by UPI or cash, with no advance.

Nearby areas: we also clean tanks along the Dwarka Expressway sectors and in Palam Vihar.

Questions

We just moved into a new flat. Does a new tank really need cleaning?

Usually yes. Tanks that have not been cleaned since handover can still hold construction dust, sand or debris. One clean after moving in gives you a fresh start.

Our water comes partly by tanker. Which tank should we clean first?

The sump. Tanker water lands there first and leaves the most sediment. Cleaning the sump and rooftop tank together keeps both cleaner for longer.

Can you clean an independent floor building with a shared sump?

Yes. Send the number of rooftop tanks and the sump details and we quote for all of them in one message.
