Homes in the DLF phases and their tanks
DLF Phase 1 to 5 is a real mix. Many streets have independent houses and builder floors, often with a rooftop tank for each floor and one shared underground sump. Elsewhere you find large apartment complexes, where water is stored in big sumps and in overhead tanks for each tower. One street can have three very different tank setups, and each gets dirty in its own way.
In builder floors the shared sump is usually the weak spot. Every floor's water passes through it, but nobody quite owns it, so it tends to go uncleaned far longer than the rooftop tanks above it. Whatever settles at the bottom of that sump is pumped up to every floor.
Why tanks here get dirty
As across Gurugram, supply water carries fine silt that settles into a layer of sludge. Rooftop plastic tanks sit in strong sun from April to June, and algae spreads on the walls and under the lid. Where a home tops up from a tanker or borewell, sediment tends to build up faster. Many houses here have been lived in for years, and an old lid that no longer fits well lets in dust, leaves and insects.

Each tank takes about 60 to 90 minutes. We drain it, suck out the sludge, jet wash the walls, floor and lid, disinfect with a food-safe solution, flush with clean water and dry it. You get before and after photos on WhatsApp.

Our builder floor has one sump for all floors. Who should book?
Any one resident can. Send us the sump and each floor's rooftop tank in one message and we quote for all of them together. How the floors share the cost is up to you.
Should the sump and rooftop tanks be cleaned on the same day?
It is the best way. If only the rooftop tanks are cleaned, sludge from a dirty sump is pumped straight back up into them.
Do you also clean tanks in DLF apartment complexes?
Yes. Societies with 5 or more tanks get bulk rates, and we schedule tower by tower so only one tower's water is affected at a time.
